Split needles into 24/12/12. Make sure the needle that has 24 stitches begins at the tip (bottom point) of the heart. In other words, the middle of the heart. When making 2nd sock, you will want to make sure to do your heel flap on the opposite side of the first sock, so that you will have a right and left sock.

Start heel flap.
S1K1 on the right side

S1, Purl across remaining stitches.

Repeat 12 times (include these first two in your count)
