K 8 Rows
Split needles into 24/12/12. Make sure the needle that has 24 stitches begins at the tip (bottom point) of the heart. In other words, the middle of the heart. When making 2nd sock, you will want to make sure to do your heel flap on the opposite side of the first sock, so that you will have a right and left sock.
Start heel flap.
S1K1 on the right side
S1, Purl across remaining stitches.
Repeat 12 times (include these first two in your count)
Turn Heel
S1, K12, K2tog, K1, Turn, s1, P3, P2tog, p1, Turn, knit back to space and K2tog the space stitches together, K1, turn, Purl back to the space, P2tog , P1, Turn. Continue in this manner until you have 14 stitches left on the needle.
Gusset
Split needle that has 14 on into 7. (at this point you will be working with 5 needles)
Pick up 14 stitches on each side and knit thru the back loop on the first row.
K1 row
Row 1: Knit to the last to stitches on the first needle and K2tog, Knit needles 2 and 3, SSK the first two stitches of needle 4, K to end.
Row 2: Knit
Repeat rows 1 & 2 until you have 12 stitches on each needle.
Knit all row until 2 inches before you want the sock to end. (If measuring for yourself, I usually knit to the joint of the big toe)
Time for the toe decrease
Row 1:
Needle 1: Knit to the last 2, k2tog
Needle 2: SSK and then K to end
Needle 3: knit to the last 2, k2tog
Needle 4: SSK and then K to end

Thanks… I did fix a few rows, so if you happened to print on the day of the release, you may want to look at it again.
Thanks!

Thank you so much for this pattern. I have used up many of my single skeins of wool yarn – it will be a cozy winter for my feet!
So happy that you are able to use it! I need to make more soon, I am wearing mine out!
